The end of the year is drawing closer and it's got me thinking about my year end list. The problem is remembering all the releases from this year. I thought we could put together a list of 2014 releases (Christian, please) to give us something to draw from for our personal lists. Just add the albums and, when we're done,  I'll put the list together.

Northern Flame - Glimpse of Hope

Demon Hunter - Extremist

The Autumn League - Concept Of Irony

Hilastherion - Signs Of The End

Saving Grace - The Urgency

For Today - Fight The Silence

Pantokrator - Incarnate

Blood Thirsty - Sanguine River Absolution

Aceldama - Essence of Impurity

A Hill to Die Upon - Holy Despair

Almagor - Juzcados

Bloodwork - World without End

Dödsmarsch - Skandinavian Black Metal Alliance (not really a "Christian band," but Christians in a band. add or not, up to you)

Elgibbor - The Path of Suffering

Eulogium - In Hoc Signo Vinces

Katumus - At the Ruins of this World

Separatist - Closure

Separatist - Motionless

Suspiria Profundis - End of Times

Zero+onE - III

I'll add more if I think of them.

There wasn't a whole ton of albums released this year I've bought, but the ones I have that I like are:

The Autumn League - Concept Of Irony

Blood Thirsty - Sanguine River Absolution

Cloth - Cloth (EP)

Dodsmarsch - Skandinavian Black Metal Alliance (EP) (And yes, I'm counting them!  :D)

Northern Flame - Glimpse Of Hope

Promise Land - Harmony In Ruins

Sardis - Escape

Various - Repossession: A Christmas Album

Right now, I would say the only requirement is being a 2014 release. I think, traditionally,  EPs weren't put on these lists. However,  if your favorite album was an EP, maybe they should be allowed.  As far as "Christian band or not", my views on this topic has changed in the last couple of years. Three of my favorite "Christian member" bands had new albums this year (Halcyon Way,  Teramaze, and Threshold). This would have an effect on my list. Maybe we'll just make the list of releases and let Matthew re-establish the guidlines before we make our personal lists.

I guess we're lucky there wasn't a new Maiden album this year.  :P

I'll be putting EPs on my year-end favorites list. There's no way that Dödsmarsch isn't going to make it onto my list...it's too good.

I think we should just consider EPs mini albums. There have been some absolutely phenomenal EPs.

It's been a long year, so if i'm confusing some of these with 2013, correct me.

Saving Grace - The Urgency

Pantokrator - Incarnate

Blood Thirsty - Sanguine River Absolution

Sleeping Giant - Finished People

War of Ages - Supreme Chaos

Abated Mass of Flesh - Both 2014 releases

Dissimulator - This is Darkness

Northern Flame - Glimpse of Hope

A Hill To Die Upon - Holy Despair

I'll probably add more as i remember what else came out this year that hit me as awesome

Very nice. Very heavy and intense. Thanks for the link! It's 1am here, and I am totally in the mood for some good black metal!

I kind of want to include Crowbar's new album, because I've heard that Kirk Windstein is a Christian, but I feel like adding that one to my list might be stretching a bit....
